Fragments of Becoming

Fragments of Becoming explores transformation through layers of color, texture, and form. Built in warm tones of gold, orange, blush, and violet, the work carries a sense of movement between fragility and strength, destruction and renewal.

At its center, a butterfly emerges from a richly textured abstract surface, surrounded by crackled layers that suggest time, memory, and emotional depth. The butterfly becomes a symbol of change, freedom, and rebirth, while the surrounding textures create a visual language of process — as if the painting itself is constantly evolving.

This work reflects my connection to abstract art as a space where healing and beauty can grow through layers. It is about the quiet power of becoming — the idea that even through fragmentation, something new, delicate, and alive can emerge.
