Emerging Light

Emerging Light explores the quiet tension between darkness and illumination. Built through deep layers of black, charcoal, gold, cream, and flashes of warm color, the work creates an atmospheric abstract space in which a butterfly gradually reveals itself.

At the center of the composition, the butterfly appears as a symbol of transformation, resilience, and inner awakening. Its delicate form contrasts with the richness and density of the surrounding surface, suggesting a movement from shadow into light. The textured background carries a sense of depth, memory, and emotional intensity, while the lighter gestures and golden accents introduce moments of hope and renewal.

This work reflects my interest in abstraction as a place where emotion, material, and symbol can meet. Emerging Light speaks about the beauty of becoming — the way strength, softness, and light can appear even from the darkest layers.
